How to Download LinkedIn Videos (iPhone, Android, PC)

LinkedIn has no download button for videos in the feed, but you can still save a video post as an MP4. Copy the post's link, paste it into the ClipSaves LinkedIn Video Downloader, and press Download. What you can and can't download from LinkedIn

You can download:

• Videos uploaded directly to LinkedIn ("native" video) in public posts, from people, company pages and creators.
• Your own video posts, including ones where you've lost the original file.
• Replays of LinkedIn Live events once they're posted as a regular video.

You can't download:

• YouTube or Vimeo links shared in a post. These aren't LinkedIn videos; they play from the other site. Open the original and use the YouTube Video Downloader or Vimeo Video Downloader instead.
• Posts only visible to a person's connections, posts in private groups, and anything you can only see while signed in.
• LinkedIn Learning courses. They're paid, protected content; use the LinkedIn Learning app's own offline viewing instead.

A quick test: if a video plays when you open the post's link in a private browser window without signing in, ClipSaves can almost certainly download it.

How to download a LinkedIn video (step by step)

1. Find the post with the video in your feed, on a profile or on a company page.
2. Copy the post link. On a computer, click the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner of the post and choose Copy link to post. In the mobile app, tap Share (the arrow under the post) and then Copy link.
3. Open the LinkedIn Video Downloader on ClipSaves.
4. Paste the link and press Download. ClipSaves fetches the video and shows a preview so you can check it's the right one.
5. Save the MP4. ClipSaves picks the best-quality version LinkedIn stores, so there's nothing to choose.

Links that look like linkedin.com/posts/…, linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:… and linkedin.com/video/… all work.

Tip: copy the link to the post, not the person's profile. A profile link doesn't point at a specific video.

Downloading a LinkedIn video on iPhone

1. In the LinkedIn app, tap Share under the video post, then Copy link.
2. Open Safari and go to the LinkedIn Video Downloader.
3. Paste the link, tap Download, and confirm the download when Safari asks.
4. The video goes to the Files app, under Downloads. Tap the download arrow in Safari's address bar to jump there.

To put it in your camera roll: open the video in Files, tap Share, then Save Video. It now appears in the Photos app, ready to share or edit in iMovie.

Downloading a LinkedIn video on Android

1. In the LinkedIn app, tap Share under the post, then Copy link.
2. Open Chrome (or Samsung Internet) and go to the LinkedIn Video Downloader.
3. Paste the link and tap Download.
4. The MP4 lands in your Downloads folder. Google Photos and most gallery apps show it in a Download album; if not, open the Files app and look in Downloads.

Downloading a LinkedIn video on Mac or Windows

1. On linkedin.com, click ••• on the post and choose Copy link to post.
2. Paste it into the LinkedIn Video Downloader and click Download.
3. Find the MP4 in your Downloads folder. It plays in QuickTime, VLC or the Windows Media Player app, and imports into PowerPoint, Keynote, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut without converting.

LinkedIn Live, events and company page videos

LinkedIn Live. While a stream is still broadcasting there's no finished file to download. After it ends, LinkedIn usually keeps the replay as a regular video post on the host's profile or page; copy that post's link and download it like any other video.

Event videos. Recordings shared inside a LinkedIn Event are often visible only to attendees. If the replay is also posted publicly in the feed, use that post's link.

Company page videos. Videos on a company page's Posts or Videos tab work the same way as personal posts: open the post, copy its link, and paste it into ClipSaves. If you manage the page, this is a quick way to collect your own published videos for a website, sales deck or YouTube channel.

What quality will the video be?

You get the best version LinkedIn stores for that post. If the video was uploaded in 1080p, that's usually what you'll receive; if it was uploaded in lower quality, the download matches that. LinkedIn re-encodes videos on upload, so the file is LinkedIn's copy rather than the creator's original, and no downloader can return anything sharper.

Troubleshooting

"Couldn't fetch the video" or nothing happens

• The post may be visible only to connections, or in a private group. Open the link in a private browser window; if LinkedIn asks you to sign in to see it, it can't be downloaded.
• The post may have been deleted or edited to remove the video.

The post shows a video, but ClipSaves finds none

• The video is probably a YouTube or Vimeo link inside the post. Click through to the original site and use the matching downloader.
• It may be a document or carousel post (a PDF shown as slides), not a video.

You copied the wrong link

• Links to a profile, a company page or a search result don't point at a video. Go back to the post and use Copy link to post.

The file won't play

• MP4 plays on every modern phone and computer. If a file shows 0 KB, the download was interrupted; download it again.

Use LinkedIn videos responsibly

A video in someone's LinkedIn post belongs to them or their company. Downloading your own videos, or keeping a copy for personal reference, is the safe ground. Before re-posting someone else's video, putting it in a client presentation or using it in marketing, ask for permission and credit them. In the US, short excerpts for commentary or teaching may be fair use, but that's decided case by case. Summary
