Download LinkedIn videos

Why Download LinkedIn Videos?

LinkedIn has become a major platform for professional video content — from company announcements to thought leadership clips and conference talks. LinkedIn doesn't offer a download button for videos posted by other users. Downloading a video lets you save it for offline reference, use it in presentations (with permission), or archive important professional content.

How to Download a LinkedIn Video

Step 1: Get the Post URL

On desktop: click the three dots (···) on the top right of the LinkedIn post containing the video and select Copy link to post. You can also copy the URL directly from the address bar if you've opened the post in its own page.

On mobile: tap the three dots on the post, then tap Copy link to post.

The URL format looks like: linkedin.com/posts/username_topic-activity-1234567890...

Step 2: Paste into ClipSave

Open ClipSave's LinkedIn downloader in your browser. Paste the copied URL into the input field and click Fetch. The tool extracts the direct video file from LinkedIn's servers.

Step 3: Download the Video

Click Download to save the MP4 to your device.

LinkedIn Learning Videos

LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) uses DRM-protected video streams for its course content — these are not accessible through URL-based tools. Only regular LinkedIn feed videos (from posts) are downloadable.

Video Quality on LinkedIn

LinkedIn re-encodes all uploaded videos. Most feed videos are available at 720p. Higher quality depends on what the creator originally uploaded. LinkedIn's compression is fairly aggressive, so downloaded files may be slightly lower quality than the original recording.

Professional and Ethical Considerations

Always respect intellectual property when downloading professional content. If you download a competitor's product demo or a conference keynote, make sure your use case is legitimate — personal reference, internal sharing with attribution, or educational purposes. Reposting without credit or using commercially without permission is a copyright violation.
