TikTok Story Downloader

ClipSave cannot download TikTok Stories, and it is worth explaining why rather than letting you paste a link and watch it fail.

A TikTok Story is served inside an authenticated session. There is no public, shareable address that points at the media the way a normal post link does, so there is nothing for our resolver to fetch.

Ordinary TikTok videos are a different matter entirely, and our TikTok downloader handles those.

A Story lives for 24 hours, sits above the feed rather than on the profile grid, and is visible to followers rather than to the whole platform.

An ordinary post has a stable URL containing a video ID. That link is what every downloader relies on. Stories are addressed internally by the app, and the media behind them is fetched with the session's own credentials.

That difference is the entire reason one can be downloaded by a link and the other cannot.

If it is your own Story, TikTok lets you save it from the app before it expires, at full quality. That is always the best route for your own content.

If it belongs to someone else, ask them. A creator can send the original file in seconds, and it will be better quality than any capture.

Failing that, a screen recording captures what was on screen — at your display's resolution, with interface elements included, and with whatever compression your phone applies.

Once the window closes, TikTok stops serving the media to anyone except the creator, whose own copy remains in the app.

There is no archive to recover it from and no tool that can retrieve it afterwards. Any site claiming to recover expired Stories is either mistaken or lying about what it does.

If something matters, save it while it is live.
