Information We Collect
ClipSave is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect personal information when you download videos. We may collect anonymous usage data (such as platform URLs fetched) to improve our service. Download history is stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers. If you create an account, we store the email address you sign up with.
How We Use Your Data
Any data we collect is used solely to provide and improve the ClipSave service. We do not sell or rent your personal data. Support and contact form submissions are stored securely and used only to respond to your inquiries.
Cookies & Storage
We use essential cookies for session management and preferences (e.g., theme), and your download history may be kept in your browser's local storage. In addition, our analytics providers set their own cookies in your browser, as described in the next section. You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how parts of the site work.
Third-Party Services
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage, Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, Ahrefs Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement, and Adsterra to serve the advertising described in the next section. Video fetching is handled through our own API routes. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Advertising
ClipSave stays free to use because display advertisements, served by Adsterra, appear alongside our content. They sit in the breaks between sections of a page — never over the downloader or its download button, and never between a heading and the content it introduces — and each one loads inside an isolated frame, only once you scroll near it, after the page's own content. Adsterra and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies inside those frames to measure and select the ads you see; that processing is governed by Adsterra's own privacy policy. We do not run pop-ups, pop-unders or on-click advertising, and we do not share your email address, download history or contact submissions with any advertising partner. You can block or clear those cookies at any time through your browser settings. Direct sponsorship enquiries made through our Advertise page are handled as ordinary contact submissions and are covered by the sections above.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store video content on our servers.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold, and to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time. Contact us at the email provided on our Contact page for such requests.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
