How we handle copyright takedown requests

Last updated: June 2026

What Is the DMCA?

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that provides a framework for copyright holders to request the removal of infringing content from online services. ClipSave respects intellectual property rights and responds promptly to valid DMCA notices.

How to Submit a Takedown Request

If you believe content accessible through ClipSave infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent via the Contact page. Your notice must be signed (physically or electronically) by the copyright owner or an authorized agent.

Required Information in Your Notice

Your DMCA notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (2) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it; (3) your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email); (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; (5) a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Our Response Timeline

Upon receiving a valid and complete DMCA notice, ClipSave will investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the identified material within 24 to 48 business hours. We will notify the affected party of the removal where reasonable.

Counter-Notifications

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include your contact information, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal district court.

Repeat Infringers

ClipSave maintains a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. We reserve the right to take down content and suspend accounts without prior notice when copyright infringement is evident.
