Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours — and Instagram offers no built-in way to download someone else's Story. ClipSave lets you save any public Story as an MP4 file before it expires.

Getting a Story link is slightly different from Reels:

• On mobile: Open the Story, tap the three-dot menu (⋯), and select "Copy link" (available for public accounts). • From a DM: If someone shared a Story with you in a direct message, tap "View Story" then copy the link from the share sheet. • From a story viewer: Some third-party story viewer sites generate direct links you can paste here.

Once you have the link, paste it into ClipSave and download within seconds.

ClipSave can only download Stories from public Instagram accounts. Stories from private accounts that you follow cannot be fetched through our service — Instagram restricts access at the link level.

For your own Stories: tap the Story, hit the three-dot menu, and choose "Save to camera roll." That's the fastest way to archive your own content.
